Research Articles
A team of volunteers have been working on the Heritage Project capturing the unique history of the area. The idea is to show a snapshot of the activities and life experiences of people in the past. The research has been focussed on Arrad Foot, Broughton Beck, Greenodd, Mansriggs, Newland, Penny Bridge, Plumpton, Rosside, and Spark Bridge.

The team agreed that they would look for topics that;
- would be of interest to local people
- were less frequently researched
- could provide an insight into the circumstances of daily living
- could demonstrate the ingenuity and resilience of the local people
We think that the collection of research articles and interviews has fulfilled our aims. We hope that readers will enjoy our work and perhaps inspire others to set off on their own research.
